The module provides a foundation for exploring enterprise, innovation and sustainability. Key issues covered include:- Enterprise, entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs.- Sustainable Development Goals and the potential for entrepreneurship and innovation to address them.- Ideas and opportunities, and creative techniques for generating business ideas.- Innovation and invention. Sources/ drivers of innovation, the 10 types of innovation, innovation strategies, and implementing change and overcoming barriers to innovation.- Feasibility analysis, including industry and market feasibility analysis, financial feasibility analysis and entrepreneur feasibility analysis.- Why business models matter. Business Model Canvas in full detail. Lean start-up. Case examples.Through studying the module, students will appreciate the complexities associated with entrepreneurship and be able to discuss and debate these complexities in an informed and critical manner.
